Year One brings us back in time

We saw Year One in theaters last weekend, and we couldn't help but be reminded of our 300 costumes. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably seen at least part of the intense historical flick 300. This badass movie featured millions of Greek and Persian soldiers duking it out (and looking damn good while they did). Recreate your own 300/Year One with our myriad of costumes.

Start it off with our 300 Immortal Adult Standard Costume. This costume is freaky and fabulous, and totally scary. It includes shirt, mask, and pants, and we’d recommend you get yourself a sword (a fake one, of course) to top it off.

Sexy ladies will rock our 300 Queen Gorgo Adult Costume. Costume includes a cut out white dress with gold detailing, as well as a large pendant necklace. We recommend some gold heels and big earrings to go with.

Go all the way in our 300 Spartan Deluxe Adult Costume. This costume is fit for a real warrior, one who isn’t afraid to take risks. Costume includes red oversized toga, clasp, gauntlets, guards, helmet. This costume turns you into someone not to be messed with. After all, this is Sparta!

Things with Wings!

In female-land, Halloween is the only day of the year on which you can dress like a complete slut and no one can say a thing. It might not be right, it might not be a redeeming female thought, but hey, it’s the truth, so you might as well embrace it and enjoy! After all, who doesn’t want to just go a little crazy every once and a while?

What better way to take on sexy than to go the sexy fairy tale route? We’ll start with the Black Fairy Velvet Costume, a confection complete with belt, shoulder pieces and wings. Who said fairies have to be all sugar and no spice? This costume allows you to be as bad as you’d like to be as you dance through the music of the night. Take it one step further and add some sass with our long black wig.

If black’s a bit too dark for you, try our Night Bloom Fairy Costume. This purple getup comes complete with sheer purple wings with glitter accents, as well as a matching choker, hair scrunchie and purple shimmer belt. It’s sexy with just a dash of sweet and plenty of mystery.

If you want to go totally girly, you’ve got to get your hands on our Pink Sexy Fairy costume! This outfit is pink prissy perfection! A brocade and panne dress with devours inserts and matching sleeves, it’s a cross between Good Witch Glinda and gorgeous ballerina. Comes with pink sheer wings. Up, up and away you go!

For something in between, check out our Twilight Fairy Fantasy Costume. This costume is pretty at its best, a delicate lavender dress with multi-colored sequin trim and matching choker. A delightfully candy-colored confection, it comes with gorgeous sheer wings with pink, white and gold sparkly accents. Sexy, and beautiful!

For more sexy accents, check out our selection of tiaras, wigs, and wings! Decorate your face with our wide range of glitter, colorful, gorgeous makeup!

Cowboys and Cowgirls!

Comics, Cowboys and Sexy Cowgirls!

All’s been quiet on the Western front, as of late, regarding new movies coming out for 2010. Right now, fans are buzzing about movies still to come this summer, such as Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen and G.I. Joe. Still, we’ve seen the trailers for these films about 1,000 times already, salivating until we can get our mitts on some tickets at the box office in just a few weeks.

So, once summer’s gone and we’ve snapped up today’s top box office draws on DVD… What do fans have to look forward to? Comic book fans, Western afficionados and horror mavens will be chomping at the bit to check out the big screen adaptation ofJonah Hex in theatres come August 2010.

A lesser-known title with a cult following, Jonah Hex was released under the DC Comics banner in 1977 afte making his first appearance in 1972. The comic disappeared for some time before making a return under DC’s adult-oriented Vertigo imprint in 2005. The comic follows the adventures of hideously scarred former Confederate soldier, Jonah Hex, who was sold by his father to the Apache Indians in return for safe passage. Years later following the death of his wife-to-be, Hex engages in a tribal tomahawk ritual battle and breaks the rules. As punishment, a red hot axe is placed to one side of his face, giving him the distinctive facial injuries he bears for the run of the series.

The new Jonah Hex film of 2010 stars Josh Brolin as the title character, a bounty hunter in the Old West fixin’ to take out a Voodoo practitioner attempting to raise an army of zombies to try to resurrect the Confederacy. Other big names in the film include Megan Fox and John Malkovich.

So far, no photos of star Josh Brolin in makeup as the disfigured Hex have surfaced, but Megan Fox has been rocking a sexy saloon girl outfit for the film.

The best of the best: Spooky Decorations

HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS

Everyone knows that house in the neighborhood: the one that goes ALL OUT for every holiday. They’re the ones who put up millions of lights a month before Christmas, the ones that put Santa and his sled on their roof and keep it there until February, the ones that put fall festivity decorations up as soon as September 1st hits. If you’re one of those houses, we congratulate you! More power to you! And since you’re our type, and we’re clearly yours, we invite you to check out our myriad of Halloween decorations.

Looking to go all out? Snag our Airblown Haunted House with Light Show. You’ll be the talk of the town! Airblown Haunted House with Light Show and Reaper has a house shaped purple and black frame with a Reaper on one side and a brown tree, ghost, gray tombstone and 2 skulls on the other. Measures approximately 10' high when inflated. Plays scary Halloween music and sounds including the Halloween theme. Lights flash in time to music. House lights up for a eerie glowing light show.

Light up the front porch with our eerie Blinking Skeleton Lights with Sound. These Skeleton Lights with Sound (10 Lights) has skulls that light up and blink in time to the spooky music. Plays "Halloween" theme. Motion activated. Skulls light up green, orange and red.  They’re the perfect way to decorate without going overboard.

Arranging a Haunted House? Make it realistic. Tape the walls out with our Black Out Room Room Roll. This background sticks onto the wall for the time being, but is easily removable. Looks great with our Fog Machine. Spoooooky!

Scare them off (or just give them a little fright!) with our Dangling Spider Light Set. Dangling Spider Light Set is approximately 11' long (6' lighted length). Has an end-to-end plug to attach other light strands (sold separately). Includes 2 spare bulbs and 1 extra fuse. Contains 9 Light Up Spiders (3 orange, 3 green and 3 purple) that dangle on black wires that have little purple lights at different intervals.

Make the front door special this Halloween with our Black Creepy Cloth. Cloth measures approximately 30" wide x 12' long, is made of a black gauze material and is flame retardant. Includes enough material to cover 2 doorways! This works perfectly on the front door, or on the door to a Haunted House. Gauze materials adds extra dimension of scare, as it almost resembles an oversized spiderweb.

Snag some of our Skeleton Hands Tombstones and decorate the front yard for Trick or Treaters. Instead of raising the roof, you’ll be raising the dead. The "RIP" lights up in red; tombstone makes scary thunder and screaming sounds.

These are only a few of our decorations, so check out the website for more ideas! Remember, it’s always more fun to have too much than have too little!
