Party supplies you won't want to return!

Looking to plan the perfect Halloween party for your kids and all of their friends this year? Better get ahead of the game and start planning now. By the time you choose your date and send out invitations, many of the weekends in October might be out of bounds. Better to get things sent out sooner rather than later, as people's calendars tend to fill up during Halloween month. Not to mention, once you've secured a date and sent out invitations, you'll need to have a lag time for RSVPs, so you can figure out how many supplies you'll need to get. For instance, do you need twenty plates or fifty? Do you definitely want to serve cake? What about the ghouls to sit in the front yard? Will they arrive in time? Then you'll need cups and napkins to serve your food, and you'll need to hit up all your favorite cooking blogs to find the best Halloween recipes. Need a one stop shop for all your party decorations and supplies? Look no further than Halloween adventure. From plates and cups and plastic cutlery to spooky porch perching vampires and ghosts, we've got everything you need to throw an incredible Halloween party. Deck the tables out in spooky Halloween plastic tablecloths, and stick Bloody Clings on the windows and doors. Now, get shopping!

Still have those old Captain America costumes? Bring them out!

This summer has brought with it many a movie blockbuster, but our favorite has got to be the new rendering of one of the most under-rated superhero stories out there: that of Captain America. In the old film, originally made in the eighties, and based off of a comic book series, Captain America is the alter ego of an ordinary guy named Steve Rogers, who volunteers to the undergo a medical treatment that will turn him from frail into super strong. As the story goes, Rogers is enhanced to the peak of human perfection - practically indestructible - by an experimental serum in order to help aid the United States war effort. In the comic books, which were introduced during World War II, Captain America repeatedly saves his country from the dangers of war. He wears a costume that bears the motif of the American flag, and is armed with an indestructible shield that can also be thrown as a weapon. During the war, the Captain America comics were extremely popular; giving Americans a hero they could believe in during a troubled time.

This summer's movie reboot saw Chris Evans take on the role of Rogers, and the results, if we do say so ourselves, were pretty spectacular. The movie has everything a good summer blockbuster should: action, love, and of course, morals - the good guy triumphs over evil. Looking to get dressed up as Captain America for Halloween? Here's what you'll need:
For adults - our Captain America adult costume, complete with flag motif shirt and mask.
For kids - our Classic Captain America Child Costume, as well as the matching shield.
For ladies - our Captain American Shield Bag, the perfect kick butt purse.
For all - our Deluxe Captain America gloves, a bright red superhero staple.

Are you Ready for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2?

We can't lie - we're pretty darn excited for next weekend's release of the final chapter of the positively epic Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2. Part 1 of the film, which was broken into two parts because the final edition of the popular book series was so action-packed, was incredible. We were smart enough to bring tissues and lots of candy into the film the first time around, and we ended up blowing our nose multiple times thanks to some serious tearjerker moments. We're such Part 2 will be more of the same, and as it brings an end to the incredible series about a young wizard fighting for good to triumph over evil, we're betting we won't be the only ones wearing our Harry Potter gear to the theater.

What about you? Have you dressed up for the Harry Potter premieres in the past? If so, we'd love to see photos! Leave us some links in the comments! In the meantime, here's the gear you'll need to hit the theater in style next week. In the past, we've hit up the theater when it's a bit chillier outside; for Part 1 of the Deathly Hallows, we sported our glasses and our Gryffindor scarf. Now that it's 90 plus degrees out in many areas of the country, however, we're thinking a scarf might be a bit too much. Guys can sport this great Gryffindor tie, and ladies can rock Harry's signature round glasses. For those who dare to go all out, might we recommend a Hogwarts school robe? Kids might even delight in donning a dementor costume.  Want more Harry Potter? Check out all our Harry Potter costumes and Harry Potter accessories here.

Wigs Donald Trump Could Use

We'll admit it - we're fans of The Donald. Not that we think he should ever, ever run for President (really, Donald?) but we like the guy. We love to say, "You're FIRED!" at any opportune moment. We love his daughter Ivanka. She's pretty and lives a modern day fairytale with The Donald for a dad. But most of all, we love The Donald's toupe. Because let's face it, that thing is legend! It always looks as though it's in danger of slipping off his head, which, we'd imagine, is quite bald and shiny. We think Donald could do with some new hairpieces - perhaps ones that don't look so fake. Or maybe, he should go in the opposite direction, and embrace his hairlessness. In this situation, he could go totally crazy and rock a variety of awesome wigs. We've got a slew of great wigs at Halloween Adventure, and we're thinking that a bunch of them would suit the Donald should he agree to ditch his toupe and loosen up a bit.

For starters, we'd absolutely love to see Donald in an Elvis wig. Can't you see him totally rocking it? We can picture it now...the Donald, dancing to Blue Suede Shoes. If he's looking for even more hair, might we recommend the Wolverine wig? Hugh Jackman ain't got nothing on this baby! Of course, he could always go the townie route, and rock some stringy brown hair beneath a blue cap - hey, celebrities are always talking about how they wished they had more privacy! We'd also love to see him take a trip back in time with our 70s teen icon wig...ohh, Donald! In short, there's a whole lot Donald Trump could do with that mess on the top of his head that he calls hair. Donald, call us!

You Won't Want to Return These Witch Costumes

Even scarier than the ghosts we discussed in our last post are the witches of All Hallows Eve. Grab some girlfriends and do a take on Angelica Houston in the remake of the Roald Dahl book The Witches, or pull out some pink smoke and recreate Hocus Pocus.
Who said witches were all scare and no sass? Our Sexy Black Witch costumeis a little bit of both. You'll turn heads as you ride in on your broom with this costume. The Black Witch costume includes: short black dress with lace trim and side stitching, and rumpled black witches hat.
Go classic creepy with our Classic Witch Adult Costume. This classic witch costume includes a long-sleeved black button front shirt, long black skirt with elastic waist, cape, and a matching black witch hat with attached scarf. All you need is a broom and an angry, evil cackle to go with it.
Ladies with curves, don’t let those skinny minnies have all the fun. Go evil goddess with our Elegant Witch Adult Plus Size costume. Costume includes a sexy black dress with shredded bell sleeves and a shredded bottom, as well as a witch hat with belt. This costume is both freaky and fabulous!
Sexy girls with little to no shame will love our Fairytales Witch Costume, a sizzling getup that includes a colorful mini dress with tattered tulle in the skirt and a bustier at the top, as well as a colorful hat with dangling spider at the end. Get lost in the forest in this costume. Hansel won’t know what hit him!
Teens can try our Glitter Witch Teen Costume, and adorable sassy outfit that includes a glittery minidress with long shredded sleeves and tulle bottom. Hat isn’t included, so snag one here.
Divas of darkness will love our Goth Maiden Witch Adult Costume, a dazzling confection that includes a full-length black and gold gown with sheer sleeves and velvet panels, as well as a matching hat.
Any witch you choose, remember that no costume is complete without a lot of attitude and a maniacal laugh. Channel the ladies of Hocus Pocus and come with your own smoke machine, or carry “treats” in your pocket for those little kids who just don’t know any better (just kidding!). Have fun!
